REVIEW
With many a guest waiting in the wings, the first of two soon to be legendary shows got underway with a full a head of steam and John Butler riding along for Smokestack Lightning. After a driving Wandering Child, the first of many "firsts", Dear Prudence featuring Jake Cinninger was debuted. Next up was That's What Love Will Make You Do with Henry Butler and Roosevelt Collier which was followed by a Mule-only Perfect Shelter. The boys from the Dirty Dozen Brass Band and DJ Logic added their style to Spanish Moon and Death Don't Have No Mercy, added a distinctive N'Awlins flavor to the mix. After two more Mule-only tunes, Ruthie Foster and Warren did a beautiful a cappella rendition of Griinin' In Your Face before they both sang their hearts out on the set closer, A Million Miles From Yesterday.
Set two began with three "firsts", Nutbush City Limits-> Whole Lotta Love and Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City with many a guest involved in all three. Streamline Woman and Brand New Angel were delivered in full rockin' Mule-style by the quartet prior to the addition of Mike Gordon and Steve Molitz for Loser-> Terrapin-> Loser. Cyril Neville hung in for a few songs such as Gilded Splinters and Fortune Teller (both firsts), on which Papa Mali and Ian Neville played as well. The Mule played Larger Than Life, perhaps to desrcibe the show that was being played right then, and then closed out the set with the help of Tim Greene for an amazing Sco-Mule. The night not being over just yet, the band returned for the encore, a rippin' Mule, once again with the help of Tim Greene.
Guests Tonight: John Butler, Jake Cinninger, Henry Butler, Rossevelt Collier, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, DJ Logic, Ruthie Foster, Grace Potter, Scott Tournet, Rich Vogel, Mike Gordon, Steve Molitz, Cyril Neville, Papa Mali, Ian Neville, Tim Greene

REVIEW
Night two of two began with Mule quartet throwin' down Unring The Bell and Blind Man In The Dark prior to playing the first of six "firsts" of the night. Dave Malone from The Radiators joined in for You Got Me Hummin' and Parchman Farm, then handed off the reigns to Bela Fleck who delivered on Come On Into My Kitchen. The next four tunes gave Andy a break, as George Porter and Ivan Neville sat in for a non-stop melding of Fortunate Son-> Sailing Shoes-> Hey Julia-> Sneakin' Sally Through The Alley. Kirk Douglas and Owen biddle were onstage as they tore apart When The Levee Breaks, then Grace and Brendan Bayliss got groovy on Who Knows. The arrival of Sonny Landreth siganalled the start of Feel Like Breaking Up Somebody's Home, and Eric McFadden brought with a raunchy Goin' Out West to cap off this 2 hour, 8 minute first set!
With a nod to our host city, the first song of the second set was Africa (New Orleans) with many a guest sitting in. Some of our friends from Derek Trucks Band showed up, and Kofi Burbridge and Count M'Butu laid their thang down on 32/20 Blues. Yonrico Scott took the sticks from Matt during Everyday I Have The Blues and Three String George. Matt returned and brought along Thorazine Shuffle and the end of the second set. Before bidding a fond farewell to this beautiful city, Warren worked up a gorgeous gospelesque intro for Soulshine, then rocked and rolled it to a tired, frenzied, yet very happy crowd whose bellies were full Mulesic.
Guests Tonight: Dave Malone, Bela Fleck, Ivan Neville, George Porter, Kirk Douglas, Owen Biddle, Grace Potter, Brendan Bayliss, Eric McFadden, Sonny Landreth, Stanton Moore, Eric Krasno, Kofi Burbridge, Count M'Butu, Walter Wolfman Washington, Yonrico Scott, Walter Trout, Henry Butler, Cyril Neville
